BASIC AND CLINICAL ENDODONTICS - PART II

Each higher educational institution of various countries show different approach regarding the education and based on the received results, they try to reach the highest standards in educa-tional field and relevant clinical competences.

Together with new achievements, evolution of the biotechnological and biomedical sciences, gained so much knowledge in dentistry that it is almost impossible to push it into practice. It be-came clear that traditional educational plan and traditional teaching methodology are not enough. For solving this problem, it is necessary to replace educational plan model with the inte-gration of fundamental and medical (dental) sciences, which will allow students, residents and postgraduate students to acquire relevant skills and new information through the entire life.

One of the most important conditions for the formation of dentist is the existence of the book with the latest information.

Book “Basic and Clinical Endodontics” is compiled with the scheme recommended by our and foreign authors and specialists (K. It includes the principles of rational selection of provided means and methods for the treatment of endodontic diseases, based on signs and adverse affects of its usage, undesirable complications and character-istics of usage.

II part of the book offers protocol of using various methods of canal preparation and obtura-tion, also concept of irrigation based on the scientific evidences, advantages and disadvantages of endodontic treatment in one day, endodontic pain management, characteristics of post endodon-tic restoration, advantages of computer tomography, microscopic and laser systems and finally, clinical signs of allergy caused by anesthetics, special allergic examinations and treatment char-acteristics.

We hope that the book “Basic and Clinical Endodontics” will greatly help the representative of each dental direction (student, resident, postgraduate student, doctor, assistant to the doctor-dentist) in accurate treatment decision and rational practice. Book provides them with transpar-ent, practical recommendations; support them to overcome the difficulties they encounter with in practice, allowing them to find the way based on acknowledgement of hypothesis and indi-vidual knowledge.

We aim to create perfect book, followed by the optimization of the educational process. We hope that the reader will be much interested in the book and by introducing its recommenda-tions and guidelines in endodontic practice will promote professional skills.
