Ketevan Gogilashvili, the esteemed President of the Georgian Dental Association (GSA), is a distinguished graduate of Tbilisi State Medical University, Faculty of Dentistry. Her illustrious career spans over several decades, marked by a trajectory of academic and administrative positions that showcase her dedication to dental education and research.

From 1988 to 2010, Ketevan held various roles at the State Medical University, progressing from a lab assistant to a full professor. She served as the Dean of the Dental Faculty and Head of the Dissertation Council during this period. In 2010, she transitioned to Illia State University as a full professor, contributing significantly to teaching and research until 2018. In June 2018, Ketevan assumed the role of a full professor at I. Javakhishvili State University, Department of Dentistry.

Ketevan Gogilashvili's international academic pursuits include being an exchange scholar at prestigious institutions such as Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse (France), University of the Mediterranean in Marseille (France), and various universities in Paris, Karlsruhe University Hospital (Germany), Hacettepe University (Turkey), Baskent University Hospital (Turkey), Essen University Hospital (Scotland), Centre for Medical Education at the University of Edinburgh (Scotland), Department of Periodontology at Roma Sapienza University (Italy), and University Hospital Rijeka (Croatia). Her research topics have delved into critical areas, with a dissertation on "Learning Dental Status among Children with Sepsis" for her Candidate of Medical Science degree in 1994 and another on "Epidemiologic, genetic, and microbiologic aspects of caries" for her Doctoral dissertation in 2002.

In 2006, Ketevan co-founded a private dental clinic, Cedex, where she served as the Clinical Manager until 2013. In 2014, she founded a new company, Ketevan Gogilashvili Dental Center Albius Ltd., with both clinical and educational profiles. Here, she not only holds the position of Clinical Manager but also leads post-graduate programs.

Ketevan Gogilashvili has been at the helm of professional leadership, serving as the President of the Georgian Dental Association since 2014, following a stint as the Vice-President of the same organization from 2006 to 2014. Her multifaceted contributions to academia, research, and dental practice make her an exemplary figure in the dental community, embodying the commitment to excellence and continuous advancement in dental care.

Her professional membership and activities include:

✓ Parliamentary delegate of the World Dental Federation (FDI) since 1999;
✓ World Dental Federation’s (FDI) women council (since 2016);
✓ Professional Development Sectoral Council at Georgia’s National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (EQE) (since 2015);
✓ Facilitator of Professional and Higher Sectoral Council Capacity Building Program (2015-2016);
✓ Co-chair of the organizational committee of international congress of the Georgian Dental Association (2005-2014) and chair (from 2014);
✓ Editor-in-Chief of Dental magazine “GSAnews” (since 2016).
✓ Author of national clinical manual in conservative dentistry, approved by the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia (since 2010);
✓ Speaker at the World Dental Federation (FDI) congresses: in New York (US), Montreal (Canada), Vienna (Austria), Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Stockholm (Sweden), Singapore, Salvador (Brazil), Istanbul (Turkey), Bangkok (Thailand), Poznan (Poland), Madrid (Spain), Rome (Italy), International Congress of Periodontlogy EuroPerio 8 London (England) and EuroPerio 9 (Amsterdam).
