Periodontist
Dr. Mariam Khardziani is a periodontist at Albius whose professional profile combines clinical care, academic research, and meaningful contribution to dental education. She received her higher medical education at Tbilisi State Medical University, completed her residency at Albius in 2019–2020, and graduated from the Albius International PerioSchool in conservative periodontology. Her path within periodontology has been shaped not only by clinical training, but also by a sustained commitment to scientific work and professional development.
Alongside her role within the periodontal team, Dr. Khardziani is a doctoral researcher in the Clinical and Translational Medicine PhD program at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and has served as an invited lecturer there since 2021. Her academic interests focus on oral pathology and regenerative dentistry, bringing a thoughtful, evidence-based perspective to her clinical work. She is also an active member of the Albius International PerioSchool Club and leads its editorial group. Dr. Khardziani is a co-author of the Two-volume Manual in Endodontics and the English–Georgian Explanatory Dictionary of Periodontal and Implantology Terms, educational publications created for students, residents, and clinicians. Her broader professional engagement also includes research participation in the Erasmus+ HEAL project and active involvement in international educational programs and scientific forums.
